# Pagination

Lists return one page at a time, by page number on most routes and by cursor on a few.

Each list operation's page says which of the two it uses, with its default and largest page size.

## Page numbers

Most lists take `page` (from 1) and `pageSize`. The page's items are in `data`, and `meta` says where you are:

| Field | Means |
| --- | --- |
| `total` | Items across every page |
| `page` | This page's number |
| `pageSize` | Items per page |
| `hasMore` | Whether a later page exists |

Ask for the next `page` while `hasMore` is `true`.

## Cursors

A few lists take a `limit` instead and return a `nextCursor` with each page. Send it back in the cursor parameter the operation names, `cursor` or `before`, to get the next page; it's `null` on the last one.
